Picking quality vendors!

After talking to many wonderful brides from the bridal show I felt the need to write this post. Many brides are sticker shocked over the prices from every vendor and don't realize why. Well, just like everyone else we need to make a living. We all understand that brides don't get married everyday and don't know what it takes to make an event such as a wedding come together.

For example, it doesn't just take one person to make your centerpieces. It takes a team of people hours to get it all together then go to your venue and set it up. Same thing goes for the rest of the vendors, photo, video, catering, lights, music, cake, and the list goes on and on. It takes everyone a lot of time and effort to put your event together, and thats why we ask to get paid for it.

Now, just like everything else there are "cheaper" places that will save you tons of money if you go with them. But at that point you should ask yourself what will you be risking? Quality of service? Quality of the product? Quality of the finished result? Its very possible, but it might not be. Its really a gamble. I'm not saying you should get the best vendor for every aspect of your Event. If you can afford it, then yes. If not please don't get a loan, or make your family go broke. All I'm saying is don't mess up your big day because you wanted to save money.

Decide what are the most important things for you. Is it the photographs that will last a life time? Is it the peace of mind you will have that your wedding will be flawless if you hire a planner? Is it the food that will have your guests talking about for weeks? Will it be the shock and awe you want to give guests with the lighting? It could be anything. Every vendor is very important! But which one is most important to you? When you decide this I suggest you find the best one you can afford. Or hire a planner to do it for you ;). After that I don't suggest going and finding the cheapest on everything else. That is the opposite of what I'm saying! Find the BEST for what you can afford. Heck if there is a new upcoming vendor then guess what that vendor is most likely wanting to prove him or herself. So most likely you will get the best work they can give.

The point I'm trying to make is that a wedding or big event is obviously a very important day. Why go cheap? Do the best you can and you will never regret it. There will be no what if's. You did the best you could, and you won't live with regrets or remorse towards other vendors. This is your important event! Make the best of it! Oh and SHOP AROUND! ORRR hire someone that will do it for you ;), but around for that planner too.

Don't be stressed about your decisions

Be confident and at peace with your decisions!
